The Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame was inaugurated in 1973.
It's purpose is to honor the best Mexican players, as well as sport writers and other outstanding achievements related to baseball. They are elected through a Elector Committee integrated for approximately 180 baseball sports writers or historians.
As in Cooperstown, Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame has a plaques room, or shrine of immortals, where each plaque represents an immortal. |
Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame building has a shrine of immortals, a baseball museum, an interactive area with batting, pitching and, catching cages, as well as some interactive computers, and a non permanent exhibition room.
It may be visited seven days a week. The hours are:
Monday to Friday: 9:00a to 6:00p
Saturday and Sunday, 10:30a to 6:00p
No entrance fee.
Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame is located at the grounds of Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma Brewery, which also serves as its sponsor.
